I totally agree with you Mitch with it being the best beer city in the U.S. I currently live close by (30 minutes) from Grand Rapids, Michigan, where they call themselves Beer City, U.S.A. But I ask people that work at other area breweries if they have visitied other cities, like Portland, San Diego, etc. and the they have not.

I love the area breweries in Portland when I visitied in August of 2012. I loved Deschutes and Laurelwood, but with presenting, at that time, research for my PhD at a Ecology conference, I couldn’t explore nearly enough that I wanted to explore. When I come back, there will be at least dozen other breweries and beer bars to go to. I’ll also use your blog as a guide. I did make it to Belmont Station and I found that place rad!

Other places outside of beers that was perfect to places to explore where Pine State Biscuit, Red and Black Cafe, Voodoo Doughnuts, and Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Each place had delicious food and/or coffee for breakfast and/or luch.
